Acceptance

These terms cover PR Review Buddy in both its forms: the command line tool distributed on npm, including the review workspace it serves on your machine, and the Chrome extension. By installing or using either, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the extension or remove the CLI package, and stop using it.

PR Review Buddy is operated under the KloLabs name, and these terms are an agreement between you and KloLabs.

What PR Review Buddy does, and what it does not

PR Review Buddy structures a pull request and surfaces what may deserve attention. Its output is advisory. It is not an approval, not an audit, and not a substitute for your own judgement, and it can be incomplete or wrong: it can miss a real defect and it can raise something that turns out to be fine.

You remain the reviewer. You are responsible for what you approve, merge and ship, and for meeting whatever review, security and compliance obligations apply to your code. Nothing the product produces transfers any of that to us.

Your accounts and your tools

The CLI requires no account with us. It runs a coding agent you have installed, one of Claude Code, Codex CLI or Gemini CLI, and reads GitHub through the GitHub CLI you have already authenticated. Your use of those tools is governed by your agreement with their providers, and any usage, quota or billing they incur is yours.

The extension reads GitHub using a personal access token you supply. You are responsible for keeping that token secure and for the scopes you grant it. If you configure Buddy AI to use a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including a self-hosted server such as Ollama or LM Studio or a third-party gateway, you are solely responsible for the security, availability and behaviour of that endpoint and for any data sent to it.

Acceptable use

Use PR Review Buddy only on repositories and pull requests you are authorised to access, and in a way that respects the terms of GitHub and of whichever AI provider you use. Do not use it to circumvent access controls, and do not use it to process material you have no right to process.

Licence and ownership

PR Review Buddy is proprietary software. Copyright © 2026 KloLabs. All rights reserved. It is licensed to you for use, not sold, and KloLabs retains all right, title and interest in it. It is not open source and carries no open-source licence.

Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use PR Review Buddy for your own code review work, including internal business use within the organisation you work for.

You may not:

• redistribute, publish, sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise make it available to anyone else
• modify it or create derivative works from it
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction
• remove or obscure any copyright or other proprietary notice
• use it to build or operate a competing product

Third-party components distributed with PR Review Buddy remain under their own licences, which these terms do not affect.

Your code and your reviews remain entirely yours; we claim nothing in them and, as set out in the privacy policy, do not receive them.

Changes to the service

Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves, on either surface. We make no guarantee of the continued availability of any specific feature. A version of the CLI you have already installed keeps working locally, since it does not depend on anything we host.

Limitation of liability

PR Review Buddy is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KloLabs is not liable for any damages arising from your use of it, including any defect that a review did not surface, any cost incurred with an AI provider, and any loss of data or code. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
